severing at its best

we know you know we know you know we know you know.
to stand and uphold what is right,
is not always the effortless way.
gathered in homes watching as the liquid from our hearts evaporate.
grasping deep breathes inhaling, exhaling, inhaling..."its set on replay what the fuck?"
sitting down next to our materialistic gifts we shove aside whats really meant to happen during this time of year.
ghastly are the emotions that run within, drifting aloft to not better... but worse of use.
whats ignored whats ignored whats ignored?
the pen is the one who writes... but who writes the pen?
the car is the one that drives... but who drives the car?
reentering our home, our solitude, what is to be divine.
"replay dude, replay."

I thought I wrote you about this one-- which, by the way, is very well written. I can appreciate what you are talking about in terms of the holiday season, and how materialistic our society has become. Try living in a 3rd world country, then coming back here. It is difficult to say the least...
